The Information Modeller ensures that all project information is structured, consistent, and aligned with the project’s Reference Data Library, Integrated Information Model, and Common Data Environment. They develop, maintain, and govern the project's information models, including classes, attributes, and relationships. The role ensures that data authored by all project parties (such as engineering, procurement, construction, vendors and suppliers) conforms to agreed information standards, and semantic definitions and syntax. They support the configuration of the Common Data Environment by defining metadata structures, naming rules, and information workflows. The Information Modeller validates data quality and performs compliance checks against modelling rules and information requirements. They create and maintain data exchange specifications to enable interoperability between project tools, vendor systems, and digital twin environments. The role supports contractors and suppliers in adopting the project’s information standards and resolving classification or modelling issues. They collaborate closely with Information Managers, Projectmanagers, Business Analists, System administrators, and Engineering disciplines to ensure alignment across the information ecosystem. The Information Modeller maintains controlled vocabularies and ensures the integrated information model remains accurate throughout the asset lifecycle. Ultimately, the role ensures that project information forms a coherent, connected, and high-quality digital asset suitable for operations and long-term asset management.
•
• Develop, maintain, and govern the project’s Integrated Information Model, including classes, attributes, and relationships.
• Ensure all project data complies with the Reference Data Library, information standards, and modelling rules.
• Document the Information Models and the Reference Data Library, including concept, process and content.
• Validate and quality-check information delivered into the Common Data Environment for structure, integrity, and semantic correctness. Design and implement systems for automation of validation and quality checking.
• Support engineering, procurement, construction, and supplier teams in creating and interpreting information requirements (organisation information requirements up to exchange information requirements).
• Ensure full traceability of data and methods to show and display traceability of data
• Collaborate with the Information Manager on information governance, workflows, and CDE configuration related to metadata and data structures.
• Ensure mapping and integration of vendor or contractor data into the project’s information model, ensuring consistency and traceability.
• Provide guidance and training on information modelling practices and the correct use of the IIM and RDL within IM/IT and information standards in the larger organisation.
• Monitor and manage changes to the information model, ensuring alignment with project lifecycle needs and operational handover requirements.
Achtergrond opdracht
•
• Reports to: Information manager, Teamlead IM/IT
• Works closely with: workstream leads (for discipline data requirements), IT/Systems Lead (for CDE configuration), IT-IM Projectmanagers
• Acts as primary point of contact for: information structure, data modelling, and classification as well as interpreting and applying the project’s Reference Data Library and information standards.
Functie-eisen:
Knowledge of common data environments in capital projects, process industry, or preferably, nuclear sector.
Knowledge of Conceptual, Logical and Physical/Technical data modelling.
A completed higher professional (HBO)
Minimum of 3 years Demonstrable work experience in large capital projects, oil and gas, petrochemical process industry.
Wensen:
Knowledge of Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMboK) model.
Knowledge of ISO 19650, understand and interpret Information Requirements on multiple levels
Awareness of nuclear codes and standards (such as, ASME, RCC-M) and how they influence data structures and metadata.
Information modelling expertise, in particular for classes attributes and relationships
Understanding of Reference Data Library, ontologies, vocabularies and the accompanying semantic standards (for instance ISO 15926; CFIHOS) Solliciteer nu!
